I can teach you how to:

I don't teach you to play a particular "style". I help you get started so that you understand what you're playing - and then you can apply your skills to whatever style suits you.

I teach both adults and children, people with no music experience whatsoever and people who've played other instruments. All that matters is that you want to play.

About the lessons

Lessons are one hour weekly and held in East Vancouver, afternoons or evenings. Each lesson is $30/hr and purchased in groups of 4 lessons ($120 including HST). I ask you to commit to four lessons because I find students are more diligent about practicing between lessons, and reinforcing what they learn - and of course, progress only comes with practice! Gift certificates are also available.

My background

Over the course of my life I have played piano, cello, violin, clarinet and keyboards, but the electric bass is the instrument that feels like home to me. I am the bassist for local band ARCTIC, with whom I've toured in Canada and France. I also write and perform songs for solo bass and voice.
